LEAKING SHOWERS
A leaking shower can cause thousands of dollars of damage to your home. Many older bathrooms were poorly waterproofed or the waterproofing may have deteriorated over time.
To repair a leaking shower properly, not just mask the problem, the floor tiles and some wall tiles must be removed and the floor, the hob and 100mm up the walls needs to be waterproofed before re-tiling.
Just as important, the floor tiles of shower and bathroom must have proper fall down to drainage grates. To get adequate fall sometimes the floor needs a cement bed before the tiles are laid.
Waterproofing and shower repairs must be considered one of the most important 'professional' jobs when renovating your home.
